Any suggestions for a first Becker?

You can't go wrong with either of them.I'll grab both if I were you...

I love my 16. I do wish I had a tried a 10 though. I didn't care for the thickness of the 2 (blasphemy- I know...), but a 10 might have worked. My 16 is one of my most beloved knives. I've been eyeing a 15 also since they will be gone soon.
 
Why does the 7 not get any love? It was my first. You always remember your 1st, right?

Lol, it really is a pretty versatile blade. If you like the 9, but it's a little large, get a 7. That being said, my second was a 9 because you cannot not have a 9!

So I just ordered a 15 for my 1st and now i see I need the 5 too? This place is going to love me anything else while I'm breaking the bank?

You really just should go for the 5. It is not a steak knife...it is a steak SWORD !!
You will love it. Well made and reliable.
Don't dilly-dally....buy one.
