So I got two pieces of N690 I was going to try out, and make camp knives out of and see what type of abuse they could take. I'm getting ready to cut them to shape when I notice they have about a 1/8" to 3/16" bow in them. The pieces are about 10" long and I can see they have been shear cut. If it was a carbon steel I could just heat it up quickly in the forge and straighten it, but this is a stainless steel so I have no idea how hot it has to be or what that will do to it. any suggestions, besides calling the people I ordered it from and sending the steel back to them.

A trick I learned from another knifemaker is to bend the steel in a vise with three pieces of rod in it.
The two outet rods on the same side and the middle one on the other.
I hope you understand wath i'm writing;) if you dont, on the site of doxblades, you can find photos of this system
