Hi I just used Afterpay on DLT Trading to order the Benchmade Infidel 3300 and am just wondering if anyone has any experience with that company? I am super excited, this will be my first Auto OTF. I’ve held one before and I loved it. Can’t wait to have it. Just wondering if anyone has any input on that company or anything I should know about the Infidel? Any tips or ideas on using the knife? Thank you in advance!

DLT is probably the best online dealer. There are a bunch of good ones, but DLT might just be the top one. The only downside is that now they're also one of the biggest, and it's no longer as easy to snag limited drops because of how many people are now buying there.

Many, many transactions with DLT, zero problems.:thumbsup:
One of the first places I hit when I need to scratch that "I need a new Knaf!" itch! 😁

There’s a reason DLT doesn’t have popular knives in stock. They are highly liked because they do it right. With DLT, you don’t have anything to worry about. They support BFC and is active on this site.

I haven't dealt with DLT Trading yet but I did recently get the Blade HQ exclusive Infidel: DLC coated S30V blade with green handle. I have mixed feelings about the knife but it's probably just my personal preferences.

The activator switch is much easier to use than the one on my Microtech UTX-85, I definitely prefer it over the MT.

Haven't decided how I feel about the position of the slider on the Infidel but I kind of wish it were on the spine like the MT so it wasn't pressed into my leg when pocket carrying (or sitting), it's a minor thing though and probably fine.

The overall size is pretty big for a pocket carried edc, again just personal preference. My usual edc is in the 3" blade range (small Sebenza) but I've been carrying a Pro-Tech TR-3 quite a bit since late June and I love that knife.

Overall fit and finish are... okay I guess. There's a bit more blade play edge to edge than I'd like for a knife in this price range (no lateral movement though), It's at least twice the play as my MT. There's a YT video that shows how to tighten that up and loctite it so it doesn't loosen up again but, for a knife this expensive, it should've been dealt with at the factory. I'm also not thrilled about disassembling the OTF mechanism so I'll probably leave it as is.

Between the Infidel and the UTX-85, I think I sightly prefer the UTX-85 for a few reasons: overall size is more my taste (a Mini Infidel probably would've been a better choice for me), my UTX is a single edge blade that I find more utilitarian, the texture on the Infidel handle is a bit aggressive for my taste and the UTX is easier going in and out of the pocket. But slider action on the Infidel is OH SO NICE, I really wish my UTX was as comfortable to use.

Between my three autos (Infidel, UTX- 85 and TR-3) I prefer my TR-3. The blade is more substantial and I can open it discreetly if I need it in public - there's no loud THWACK! if I hold my fingers over the spine and let it open slowly. Sure I could catch the OTFs... once.

Again, it's just my subjective opinion. You might get yours and think it's the greatest knife you've ever had. I do think the Infidel, and most other Benchmades, are WAY overpriced these days.

Just an echo at this point… Jordan and the folks @ DLT are fantastic. First place I look when shopping for a knife. Always a good experience!

As for the infidel, I’ve had several OTFs and it’s the only one that stuck around and I actually have 2 of them. I really like that it is 100% ambidextrous as it sits. I can pick it up with either hand and put it in either pocket and it’s just as easy even with the off hand.

Their shipping is lightning fast, highly recommended; one thing I haven't seen mentioned yet either is the rewards points - I have been able to take some of the "sting" out of a couple purchases by using the points.

Thank you everybody for the replies! I received the knife in two days! Fastest shipping I’ve seen. Also I left a review on their website because the speed it was shipped was great. I love the knife! I wish it was the S30V version though! I’m not sure if D2 is that great, I am not sure if it is CPM D2 or just D2. I don’t know if that makes a noticeable difference.

I mostly carry the knife in my waist band and don’t really use it to cut stuff. I also have a Spyderco PM2 that I carry. I want to get another Manix 2. I also have the Benchmade 176BK Dagger. I have always loved knives, they pique my interest. I had a Kershaw Skyline that I absolutely loved, but it went missing. I am searching currently for another one. But overall, speaking of the Infidel, I have always wanted one, but have never been able to afford it. Until now with Afterpay, I was able to pull the trigger paying 115 every two weeks for it. I want to start a collection of knives. I currently have the Infidel, Spyderco PM2, Kershaw Launch 10, Kershaw Lucha, an older Victorinox single blade knife, Victorinox SAK, and the BM 176BK. I would like to start really adding to that small collection. I am thinking about trying to find a good balisong. So my list is a Balisong, Kershaw Skyline and probably a new Spyderco. If anyone has recommendations where I can find a Kershaw Skyline and then a recommendation on a good balisong as I find the Lucha to be heavy, not sure if it is supposed to be that way for a reason. Sorry for my terrible writing. Thanks again for all your replies! It is appreciated.

First, great choice! DLT rocks! I have I first run Infidel and it’s still going strong. I carry it once or twice a week. You won’t be disappointed.

Just got an order in from DLT today. No issues at all.

Had to share this!!
Ordered the S90V PM2 from them………and entered an incorrect address, real rocket surgeon.
Didn’t realize it till I got the insufficient address notification on tracking. Great.
Just hung up with them and offered to pay the re shipping charge as it was my fault.
I was told they appreciate the offer, but it is not necessary.
Absolute pleasure to deal with them!
