Any traditional with bolsters besides Nickel Silver?

This Grace Horne pruner has wrought iron bolsters and liners. Not a production knife, but thought it relevant to the topic.

The Stag knife that Comoha showed with a copper bolster is interesting. Good contrast with the stag it's true.

I was wondering why copper isn't used more, is it because of corrosion from acids turning it green/verdigris? It certainly tarnishes faster than brass or electro-plate.

Great Eastern Cutlery has recently made runs of the 73 two blade Scout Trapper,a Large Sunfish and Barlows with Steel Bolsters,a throwback to the days before nickel silver was used.735211stl-indian paintbrush.jpg Tidioute Cutlery 735211stl Indian Paintbrush Jigged Bone

Thanks for sharing guys,

Smiling knife - that wrought iron bolster looks pretty cool

But still no copper? Might have to try my hand at traditional folders then
