ANY TRUTH TO Internet Explorer weakness?

i myself prefer the original papercup-onna-string I with the SP3 upgrade to plastic, and won't move to can-onna-string II until it's out of beta and gone thru at least one service pack.

COSII(beta) has a clumsy interface, and as you can see is more susceptable to hackers

COSII(beta) does have a range advantage tho, here is an example, using a 1.5 kilometer string.

These other guys just don't understand, do they, Kronc?

Thanks for the pix.

(EDIT: After all your help, decided to upload all the Windows XP updates. With dial-up...took about..er...45 minutes. Then I got this screen message:
Install Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)

This problem was caused by Microsoft Windows XP, which was created by Microsoft Corporation.

There is no solution for this problem at this time. However, your computer is missing updates that can help improve its stability and security.)

You just GOTTA luv it. :)
Merry Christmas.

Hey Doc, did that include Google Chrome? It has only recently had the 'Beta' tag removed.

I'm on dialup and find it very fast but I appreciate that some potential users may be concerned about Google's information gathering practices if they adopt it.

I was just gonna say... Google's data mining policies may not appeal to some. I don't even use their search engine 99% of the time.

I was just gonna say... Google's data mining policies may not appeal to some. I don't even use their search engine 99% of the time.

I started using gmail in January 2005 because I had again 'lost' all my downloaded emails when my second laptop hdd died. This made it a total of five losses in 5 years due to hdd failures in both desktop and then laptop computers because I live less than 125 yards from the ocean...not good for electronic items to be sure.

With the Jan 2005 hdd failure I decided to go totally over to remote email storage.

I did have initial concerns regarding the data mining facets of gmail compared to Yahoo, but I soon put it mentally aside due to the superior features of gmail.

But I still sometimes use Firefox out of privacy concerns in relation to issues such as health issue searches. But 99% is now Chrome.

After many years with IE I switched to FF - I can't comment on security but my god does it speed things up.

BTW I believe MS finally came out with a patch to fix the problem - again!

i use firefox in lieu of ie or the other also-rans as it is the most tweakable & configureable and has the most add-ons, so i can make it look and work the way I want, not the way they want you to. opera never impressed me, google's offering does seem a tad faster, but is almost not user configureable at all. ie7 stays on my pc to run windows updates and the odd non-standard site that doesn't display right in ff as it follows MS's standard instead of the int'l. stds. i also use mozilla's thunderbird as a mail client.
