Any two spydies....

i gotta say the g10 cara cara is also a pretty badass knife. the more i have been carrying mine, the more i like it. its pretty big and hefty.

For work duty, I recently shelved my Lil Temp and have been carrying an ATR. Big, but the cutting work is unpredictable. For my off time, I have become fond of the Cento' 3.

ZDP D4 and Para-Millie. The D4 is my work EDC because it's small enough and tough enough to be useful in the warehouse. The ZDP edge holds up really well and the FRN over liners gives a solid and impact-resistant handle.

The Para-Millie is for larger jobs when hiking/camping, on the road traveling, or working around the house. I take it rather than my mini-Manix because it's an easier IWB carry and lighter. MY wife carries the mini-Manix in a belt pouch in case she needs a larger blade on our "expeditions".

Mine consistently out-performs my Manix when looking at the cost to performance.

"My logic is: if i need anything much bigger I might as well get a fixed blade."

What if you want to cut your sandwich in half? Do you think you need a fixed blade for that?

I like the Delica and knives of that size but I also like a larger folder for tasks that require a larger blade.

A 1" blade will probably do 90% of the things you need a knife for but it is the other 10% where the longer blade is needed.

That being said, if you don't have it, you don't miss it. I know a few people that carry Delicas only and they have never seemed like they wanted anything more. All of these people carry SE D-3s. That may have been one of the best selling Spydercos ever. They are true work horses of the knife world. I think the Delica3 SE has cut more stuff that all the Sebenzas, Emersons and Striders ever made. There are a lot of them out there and they don't get babied. They are allways in pockets unlike the heavier and bigger folders.

Very well said:thumbup:

I always try to EDC my Milie but despite the fact that the Milie is my most favourite Spydie in terms of looks and ergo's, I always go back to my trusty Delica 3/SE.

To be honest this knife is all the knife I need;)

At work
Caly3 mostly for lunch and R2 for everything else
After work
Caly3 - money clip and C83 Persian for everything else.
I just love these knives.

How about...

Town:

Caly 3

SAK with a few tools of choice

Country:

SAK

Spyderco Street Beat FB or RAT 3 or Fallkniven F1

Vehicle:

RAT 7 or RTAK II

-ZDP Delica 4 in FRN
-Any other Spyerco knife

I've yet to handle the Caly, or other popular EDC pieces that are used consistently, but I just don't see how they could possibly improve upon the ZDP Delica.

Gotta have a large SE in my pocket at work. 99% of the time it's an Endura3 PE and a E4 SE. These last two weeks I have beat the snot out of the E4 SE. I could feel my E3 wincing in my pocket.

Right now I do tend to carry fixed blades in most situations but I also carry a Goddard PE for good luck.

However, at work I carry a Delica PE and a Merlin SE because of the 3" blade length restriction.

My lounge around the house pants feature my my Military PE and Civilian SE, right and left hand carry respectively. I have been known to carry an Endura and either a Matriarch or Syderhawk.

I tend to favor matched pairs of blades. I recently got a Chinook 3 and am now saving to get both a Super Hawk and a P'kal. I think the Super will match well with the Chinook, but who knows, I might like the P'Kal with the Super Hawk.

Native C41PBK, and I'd never leave the house without my Cricket C29S clipped in my right front.
