Any updates on the Topo Meridian?

Hello;

I've have had an order in for a Topo Meridian and Tech Bowie since the end of May. I posted this same question a couple of months ago and someone (I think it was Chris) told me that the Topo would be shipping by the first of October. Well, the October 1 has come and gone and still there is no sign that the Topo Meridian is shipping out to dealers. I know that some dealers have received small quantities of the Tech Bowie, but not the one where I've placed my order.

Can anyone give me a update on the new shipping dates?

The Topo Meridian was delayed again for a couple weeks but we are expecting to begin shipping in 2-3 weeks. The reason for this is that we wanted to make sure it was just right before shipping out any knives. Up until recenty we were not happy with the way the samples we had were working. So after many hours of tiral and error the knife is now performing to our expectations and ready for production.

Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to getting this new knife. I'll let you know what I think of it via this bulletin board.

What about a date for the TECH BOWIE , I have had one on order from
6/05 .
5 emails to SOG still no answer .

I just received a SOG Tech Bowie (SOGS10B) from Knifeworks.com on 10/14/05 from an order that I placed last week. The knife is beautiful (nicer than I could have imagined) and the price was $65 below MSRP.

I need to become a member before I can post a picture. I plan on doing so this week (becoming a member) but the knife (and sheath) is really nice. I have the Tigershark, Seal 2000 and the Seal Pup and the Tech Bowie is far and away my favorite SOG fixed blade.

Chris - can you please update us, your admiring fans, on the shipping date for the Topo Meridian? I understand that the Tech Bowie has been shipped to a limited number of retailers, but not the one that I deal with. I'm assuming that this is because SOG doesn't have enough to go around. When will the Tech Bowie be fully distributed? When the Topo Meridian starts shipping will it be a limited distribution like the Tech Bowie or a full distribution?
