Any Vintage Audio Enthusiasts Here?

Early ‘80s Panasonic RX 5100.
This thing has been everywhere with me. Construction job sites, you name it. It has been sitting in my garage for probably 20 yrs now. Been listening to my Texas Rangers for decades on it. Everything still works, but it needs a serious cleaning. Don’t know who to trust to take it to.

I had a Panasonic like that in the mid 80's! I remember listening to the radio with a finger on the record buttons waiting for your favorite songs to come on so you could record them. Needed perfect timing to try and miss the DJ voice overs, LOL!

Make that three for the Panasonic RX 5100! I know the general location but haven't seen it for years. The plastic cassette tape holder eventually broke off but it would still play and record. AC/DC, Jusas Priest and Rush got air time 24/7. Thank you Columbia House record club! Lol

I had a top of the line Sansui receiver - 120 watts per channel RMS, two big Sansui speakers, Technics linear tracking turntable, Akai cassette player I bought at the BX in Germany in 1979. Wish I still had the Sansui eceiver. Switched to a Phase Linear Series 400 amp and preamp eventually paired with four JBL 112 speakers later. Now I make do with a JBL portable speaker, a walkman style Panasonic cd player and my phone.

Yeah, nothing like the old vintage stuff! Modern technology gets it done but just doesn't have the same heart and soul as the old gear!
