A gents slipjoint finished and sold along side the watch that was left to me when My grandfather passed away. Its a Ball, not sure whom made it. Starr 18 karat gold filled case. Not sure how many jewels, 19 ?

I think a GSAR might be my next watch, but not for a few years.
have you had it serviced and appraised? even if you dont get it appraised I make a habit of getting my PW serviced regularly to avoid running the watch dry.
Robert,
I had it serviced about 20 years agoI guess time flies. I did not know the right questions to ask as the watch had a crack in the crystal when I took it in. He replaced it with a cheap plastic crystal. I want to have that replaced and the watch properly serviced. Even the though the watch runs ok , the stem, when winding is a bit "funky" feeling.
By the way , your Zenith is a wonderful example of the watch makers art. Solid gold case?

Ozy - I like the second one from the top; what is it?
I'll second the Mako!
Great watch for a very decent price. The other option I think would be the Seiko Monster, for basically the same amount as the Mako, but I guess I'm one of the few human beings on planet Earth that doesn't like the looks of the watch. Aesthetics not withstanding, I have to say the Monster is more of a tool watch then the Mako - if you actually plan on diving with the watch, go with the Monster.
