Any way to slim down the weight on a ZT 0560?

Just ordered the knife and while I don't mind carrying a 6.4oz blade I wouldn't mind cutting down some of the weight if at all possible. Only thing I can think of would be replacing the screws, standoffs, pivot, lockbar insert screw, lockbar stabilizer and pocket clip with titanium ones. Anyone ever weighed it after changing out the hardware?

Looks like they've already done as much of that as possible at the factory (milling, that is):

As far as replacing all the items you mentioned, it would obviously shave off a wee bit of weight, but I don't know if it would even be noticeable in the hand (or pocket).

You could take the handle off and just carry the blade:D. Sorry it is late night and I am punchy:p!

Remove the steel liner completely with an after market handle.
I think I have done that if I am not mistaken.

Get a 0452CF. Less than 5oz on a 4" blade. Disappears in the pocket. Got it from Whitty's place. Cant recommend him enough.

I'd say wait until you actually have it and carry it, probably won't be an issue to you at all.

Exactly. Just more people getting caught up in numbers.

I bet if someone slipped a 452 in your pocket or a 560 in your pocket, you couldn't tell the difference just by walking around.

The Ti fasteners will make an unnoticeable difference in the weight. A regrind to thin down the blade and liner deletes where possible will have the biggest effect on weight.

Spyder59 said it before me. Buy a 452cf....I did and I wouldn't carry my 560 gain. Its great in hand (about the same as the 560) HUGE blade with same handle size as the 560. Way better flipper than the 560 and smaller in the pocket. Its also lighter weight.

I love my 0452cf but these are two quite different folders I am not sure if one can replace the other. Also, the handles are significantly different.

The newer gen ones don't have the milled titanium side.

I think the reason they stopped milling the lock side is because it made almost no difference in the weight.

Just carry an 0200 for a while...the 0560 will feel lighter the next time you grab it.
