Any Wildland Firefighers here in the B.F world?

I used to be a firefighter in my younger days. I now work for the BC Forest Service and work occasionally in a logistical role or equipment boss role in major wildfires.

As firefighting is a seasonal activity may I suggest with your qualifications that you look at career options with the US or State Forest Service. Those folks would go into more of a planning role in the winter time which would would allow you to have year round work. We have a fire behaviour specialist in our office that travels all over the world, which seems to be the ultimate job.
 
It's been many years since I've fought any wildfires but did it for a couple of years seasonally. Get in the best shape you can as it is hard dirty work for long hours and day, definitely not conductive to a normal lifestyle.
