I see they are taking pre orders on the KC site.
Have you heard anything, like when are they to bring then out.

I think the damn scalpers and collector's buy them in bulk, so us regular folks are left with nothing.

I'm Canadian so I don't purchase knives from the U.S. Why is that you ask? Because the C.B.S.A. apparently makes up there own laws about what legal and what isn't.

I just don't get this... Ontario is going laugh to the bank on this... please let the scalpers keep doing this, and let Ontario make a 5x batch, then 10x, etc
D2 is not very expensive, and they have their production dialed in on rat2s

I hate the reseller market, it's a bunch of bs nonsense, I refuse to pay more, if we all did, they'd be out of business overnight.
they get away with it for concerts and video games etc, but there is limited supply there

I get paying more than list for concert tickets if you just HAVE to go, but a non-sprint knife? I’ll wait thanks. I have a sneaking suspicion that Ontario just make a few more.

Even though that’s my local knife store, we’re not supposed to post links to them since they aren’t blade forum affiliated. I recommend you give them a call. They will order you one.

Okay, I removed the link from my last post..

As long as there are frenzies for the sprint runs and LEs this will continue happening and the flippers will continue flipping.

Don't like it? Stop buying them.

Interesting point. Not seeing how it applies to the availablity of this knife though. Maybe I missed something.

Because Rich S mentioned KnifeCenter in post #4.

And you would not buy anything from them. However available.

So I don't really see the relevance to the availability this particular knife.

But glad you found an opportunity to share your views on the policies of the CBSA. o_O

Anyway, if you want to kill off this phenomenon....stop feeding it. There are plenty of great, easily available knives.

Mr. Marc
It seems to me, that you have a grudge against me, and everything I say will be scrutinized to the fullest extent regardless. From this point on, I shall no longer comment when provoked by you. In other words, go play with yourself from now on.

Well, I am sorry to hear that you feel that way. All our posts are subject to scrutiny...it's a forum, not a blog.

Anyway...the RAT2 is AUS 8 is widely available.

"If you have to have a RAT2 in D2....then you might be a collector." :D

Yes it's a public forum, but there's no need to attack a fellow member when they are not showing hostility towards you to begin with. I don't provoke people unless I want to be engaged in a fight, and that's not something I enjoy, whether on-line, or in real life.

Scalpers in general are contemptible people, and they deserve scrutiny. Who knows, maybe that's how you make your money, and why your on the defensive to begin with. But I don't like to assume and argue about fiction, I prefer the facts.

^I agree with the above post. There are retailers that limit quantities to make things fair but that is entirely their choice. And supply and demand has been in effect since the begining of time. I understand the frustration behind a knife that you want not being in stock or no longer being produced. Trust me there are many on my list. But to the OP sorry I can’t answer your question and just hang in there. Being as popular as they are I don’t see Ontario stopping production on their D2 Rat 2 models nor retailers not stocking them anytime soon. In the knife world patience is definitely a virtue. Hope you end up finding one:thumbsup:
