Most holidays are a good time to stay home here in Reno. We get the influx of tourists and it is not life as normal so better just to stay home and avoid the crowds and craziness. This means I'll be here at the screen as usual. Last year I was in Girard, KS for the 4th -- not quite as crazy as Reno.

Anyway, I've got to go take pix of a couple of village models and get them up.

I'll be around and checking in, Bill, in between going to a parade and a cookout--and let me suggest there's no better time than the 4th for a UBDOTD. Plus, I expect tomorrow'll be business as usual for our Canadian, Brazilian, European, and Asian friends.

I'm sure we'll be visiting, Uncle Bill.

Be unpatriotic not to. ;)

I'll be around, Uncle. I've got to wait until my wife gets home from work before heading to my sister's hacenda for BBQ and gratuitous swimming. One day I hope to have a concrete pond!:D

Yup!!!!
But I will be wearing a black armband.:D
I noticed the other day down at the Cherokee Casino and Smoke Shop that they had signs out advertiseing "Celebration Day."
Not quite the same meaning as the 4th of July or Independence Day as most put it.

Oh and has anyone clicked on the
"check message length" at the bottom of the posting page?
The maximum length is 10,000 characters.:D
This message has 500 characters or exactly 20% the length of a full post...............Isn't that right?:p:D

I'll be around somewhere. Auburn is sooooo exciting on the 4th. Last year the fireworks display woke the dog. Caused her to stop snoring and roll over in panic :)

I'll be around at some point. I actually forgot it was the 4th and had planned on coming into the studio to work... now I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll get a fireworks photo assignment from the local paper...

Uncle, the Black Hills are just like Reno from the sounds of it.

Everyone have a safe holiday :)

Alan

the way I read it, 500 characters is 1/20th of 10,000.

2,000 characters would be 20% of 10,000.

I'll let you go shut off the deafening bells and alarms ringing in your head.

I had to mention this because it's such a perfect example of the kind of thing you can proof read three or ten times and not catch. Until of course, you put it out on the net and let the entire planet ( and any aliens if any ) have a belly laugh...

Now ain't that the way it happens, bro?

:
Coffee's all gone Bro,I'm on Pepsi-Coa® now.:D

And I knew that.
I was just waiting to see who would catch it and bring it too my attention.:D
LMRRAO.

Somehow I never dreamed it would be you.hehehehe.

Now if y'all believe all that ya just don't get ndn humor.:p:rolleyes::D

Well, looks like we will have a few die hards.

Alan, I've visited the Black Hills several times but only once on a holiday and that taught me never to repeat that mistake.

Should I stay and enjoy the online company and possibly find another amazing deal from Uncle Bill? Alas I will not be able to. Another year of being expected at my other Uncle's home (biological-type Uncle) and actually requested to blow things up. THAT doesn't happen to often to me. He owns a couple of muffler shops in S.Miami and Broward and invites many customers and suppliers to the party and gets to write it ALL off as a business expense, from the food to the fireworks (which ran last year past $5000). So everyone enjoy your holidays and stay safe, I know that I will.

Hey uncle I may be online also. I haven't been messin with the computer a whole lot lately and it's about time to stay in touch anyway's. And the boys and I are doing great thanks! They're working their butts off trying to get things done. Love my collection of Khuks. "Later"

I'll probably try to check in once or twice. A holiday's been my only chance to hit the computer it's been so blessed busy.

Now I'm officially a third-year resident, and I'm working as a consultant to the other docs in the hospital. Which means I'm all over the place, and seldom have 15 minutes without a place I should have been five minutes ago.

And you should see the s***hole office I'm in! The carpet looks like Johns Hopkins himself might've walked on it! :D

And that was probably the last time it was cleaned, too! :)

Glad to see you here, Jay. You don't visit that much anymore.

And, Doc, thanks for AM chuckle. Your office must look just like mine!

I'm here. If I keep posting like this, I guess I will have to give up my lurker status. I slept almost 11 hours last night, so I guess it is good to have a day off. I am just happy to have the time to spend with my family. I don't believe we will go anywhere today.
