Is it me or the PTSD? I carry an ARC AAA & Pearl Almar Osprey around my neck on a gold chain with a religious medal . I can't tell ya how many times I have had the opportunity to utilize this setup. Anybody else?

Always carry Busse AS with me even when I'm sleeping or taking a shower.

I always carry my Delica wherever I go. It's the quickest knife to open that I own(the others being a Spyderco Renegade and a Buck 560). For around the house I always have my 16.5" WWII khuk by Bura. I love using the karda:D . When I'm sleeping ALL my knives go next to me under the pillow in case I have a nightmare...:o.

:p

I've been thinkin' about carryin' 24/7 but it has only happened when I had to many beers & fell asleep with my pants on!

Yes, I carry 24/7 because you can end up needing a knife any time of day or night. The last thing I want to be having to do is find a knife in the dark. So I keep a Cold Steel Spike around my neck, and clipped through one hole of the sheath is a Photon Microlight II (white). I unclip the light for showers (this model is not watertight) but the knife is there all day and night, every day and night.

The only time I do not wear a knife is when I'm actually in bed. However, I do keep one where I can easily draw it from my sleeping position. And a small flashlight on a chain dangles from the reading lamp on the head of my bed.

It's been several years since my wife challenged me to a knife fight, so I don't wear one to bed. If I ever saw her with a Bagwell clipped to her jammies, I might change my mind.

I don't really carry 24/7. I do however keep all of my knives on a stand right next to my bed, so my whole collection is within arms reach when I am sleeping. I don't carry anything while in the shower, except maybe a razor;) . Many times while in school I won't carry a regular EDC folder, but always have a Micra and Photon on my keychain. I am also working on a small talonite fixed blade to hook on my keychain as well.

I am thinking about carrying my EDC at all times though, even while in school. My college has a policy against it, but I guess what they don't know won't hurt them. I did carry an EDC clipped to my pocket for a period, and had it come out while in a hall once. I caught the clip on my pack as I was going between classes, and my Sebenza dropped to the floor in a crowded hallway. That kinda got me worried about getting caught with a knife, and facing some kind of punishment for it.

Erik: Is it really worth it? I wish I could carry a knife to my high school, but it'snot like I need to do any serious work, and keeping one hidden would do no good, as I mostly want it just for flick open and shut during boring classes :D

The funny thing is that I carried a SAK thorugh most of high school, and never worried about it. If I got caught there with all this zero tolerance BS I should have been expelled. If I get caught in college I am sure the result would be much less severe. But ultimatley it is probably not worth the risk. That is part of the reason for the small keychain fixed blade. That way I can always have a decent knife to use on me, and have no chance of being caught with it. I also doubt that anyone would really worry about auch a small piece.

Your sebbie story reminded me of something. In the third grade in gym I had a sak in my pocket and we were doing the 50 meter dash in gym. I was teamed with a slow kid so I got there before him, turned around to watch him, and the knife fell out of my high pocket-nylon pants onto the pavement. I thought he might have seen, but I was more worried about cracking a scale at that tender age :)

I used to carry my spyderco ss dragonfly 24/7, and will again once it gets back here with a new neck rig(other one cracked).

currently have the crkt carson f4 on 24/7 in a rig from kit himself.

Neck carry is on 24/7, usually off for the shower but I've been known to wear it in.

95% of the time I have my frn se endura, 98 model. Take it off to shower, but thats it.

I carry to highschool all the time. My Buck Cadet Stockman comes in handy for threads or whatever other small chores come up. The Kershaw Vapor though has no purpose while at school. It's just there out of habit.

24/7 always, never without a blade, even have a Spyderco Mini-Police necklace.

One time when we were in a Jaccuzi,(me and my knife, I mean wife), her hair got sucked into the intake for the pump, I had my necklace knife with me, let's just say, she don't make fun of my little knife anymore, if ya get my drift.

I rent a room, so I have knives around me at home all the time. When I'm out, I EDC my buck mayo in my pocket or my lumbar pack/backpack. The only times I'm not with my EDC is WHILE I'm working out at the gym, swimming, bathing or sea-kayaking (corrosion factor is too high).

I always carry a Spydie on me, except in the shower(till I get a Mini-Police;)).

Usually carry my Military CE for work and I switch to my Calypso Jr. when I get home. (Sleep with it in my R/F shorts pocket as well.)

You should think about picking up a Spyderco Salt for sea-kayaking. It will not corrode, even from extended exposure to salt water or other chemically-hostile environments. The Salt is compact, light, versatile, and inexpensive.

Hi Needle and Erik. I'm on the other side of the equation, so to speak. I'm a 20 year veteran of the 7th grade where I teach science. I've carried a knife to school every day of those 20 years! Never had a problem with it as I don't make a show of having one. Currently I carry a large curly maple Sebenza along with a T. Bose/Case dogleg jack. The Case gets a good workout daily as I use it to sharpen the kids pencils.........well at least I did until I got an electric sharpener over the holidays.

I started off at a small K-8 school out in the country. On Friday's I would let the kids bring in their pocket knives and I brought my Spyderco sharpner and we sharpened knives at the end of the day. This was back in the mid to late 80's................would NOT try that now!
