Anybody deal with "Katie Roberts"?

We bought a knife from this woman (nicest term I have for her). After paying her $550 she was totally lazy about answering emails. She said she would give me the tracking number when she shipped the knife, she didn't. She then sent me an email saying the knife was shipped and she was 1,000 miles from home and couldn't get me the tracking number. Every email she sent was full of sarcastic comments.

My girlfriend is the daughter of a custom knifemaker, she referred to her as the daughter of the famous knife grinder (way out of line). She then told me she hasn't sent the knife yet, but when she gets around to it she would. Funny she isn't home yet somehow my knife got mailed from her town 3 days ago and I got it today. She lied saying that she was sending it UPS and charged me 25$ for shipping yet she sent USPS for 17$. She also screwed up the shipping, she was suppose to send it to my office not to my house where it sat on my porch for 7 hours today before I got home.

This woman is a liar and shady, I was lucky for getting my knife but if anyone deals with Katie Roberts BEWARE!!!!! I would never do business with this woman again!!!
 
Thanks for the warning. Glad to hear that at least you did get what you were supposed to though. It coulda been worst :(
 
Is this person on the forums/Ebay? I just wanna know where to keep an eye out for her. :D
 
We dealt with her on ebay, she has sold several custom knives in the past few months on ebay. Her Ebay screen name is Artgirl1211.
 
Can you believe that woman claims now that I was attacking in my email. She lied to us twice and ignored our email, with her having 550$ of my money and me feeling like I was getting scammed! Unbelieveable, I hope if you deal with this woman you are careful!

That is where we dealt with her was on ebay. We bought a one of a kind Bowie Knife that Gill Hibben made while he was a hunting guide in Alaska. One guy asked her a couple of reasonable questions about the authenticity of the knife. She was a total smart a#@ to him in her response, but what an awsome knife. We think she was mad cause she put it on with no reserve and only got 550$ for it. Well let me tell ya, haha the knife is for real. We got it from Gil himself. We just want anyone who comes acrossed her to be leary because she is shady!!!!
 
AND still to this day... I "send em first":D on most occassions...See, knife Folk for the most part R like minded, and look out for one another:cool: ...I send with OPEN arms to GOOD homes, and a smile...If you F--K me, I throw you to the DOGS!...period :eek: (and @ 500lbs. worth, Trust me when I say that takes on a WHOLE new meaning in my yard!;) )

In a very short time I have been exposed to a world that I never knew existed. It is so refreshing to be around folks that you could for the most part go to sleep and leave my door unlocked. I look forward to learning all I can to be able to speak intelligently about things. One thing I do know, if you are in a customer driven business lying and rudeness is death to your rep.
 
What he just said to a tee. I was talking to a lady about buying something from her around $ 300 (not knife related) and I made up my mind that I was not going to buy from her ; due to her rude remarks. She's still trying to sell her items. go figure? Not trying to bash ladies or anything like that ; just turning on your possible customers has it's costs
 
Thanks to everyone responding, I just want Miss Roberts to know that her way of dealing with customers will not be tolerated. She will learn that she should always treat people with respect and be truthful!!!
