I bought a brand NIB CRKT M16-13 from them, paid for it two weeks ago, haven't received it yet, I know that not everyone can send the package out the next day, but when I tried to contact them, I only wanted confirmation of the payment, and requested that they send me a tracking number when they shipped. Well, after having sent 7 emails, still no response. The auction said nothing about the knife being on backorder. I would understand if they were closed for the Easter or Passover holiday, or if they were closed for spring break, but last week they could've at least sent me an email. Anybody on here deal with them? Am I overreacting? All I wanted was a receipt email from them that they were at least acting on my order.

Sorry to hear about that. Seems there are quite a few companies on eBay taking orders for knives they don't have stocked, collecting the payment and then passing the wait on to the customer.

Never had that problem with New Graham or Bayou Lafourche...

There is a warning on northwoodsinnovation auctions that gives a hint that they sometimes don't have the knife being auctioned in stock. That warning is - "Due to the high demand for this item please allow 10-14 days for delivery".

The feedback for this seller is excellent, but there was one neutral that stated that it took awhile and that communication was poor. It seems that you are one of the rare unlucky ones.

Note what I said above, while I would like the knife to be delivered right away, I had read their disclosure concerning shipping, I only wanted a reply as to the fact that they had received my payment and that they would include a tracking number when they shipped.

Maybe you should have waited until you had it in your possession before you sold it?

What? I didn't sell anything. Are you talking about the company I bought it from? Oh, did you see my CRKT M16-13Z up for sale in the FOR SALE thread? That's a different model from the one I ordered on eBay, the one I ordered on eBay has a blade made of AUS8, and the handle is made of aluminum, while the one I'm selling has a blade made of AUS6 and a Zytel handle.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

ME TOO!

I've been waiting for nearly a month now!
I won an auction for a TOPS Steel Eagle on 3/2 and still nothing. Not a reply to email. Nothing. :grumpy:

I was going to wait until 4/2 and then lodge a complaint on Ebay and ask Paypal for my money back. I've never had trouble getting my money back from Paypal, so I'm not THAT worried.

But, now that you said that, I wonder if I should do it sooner.

It's only been two weeks, I've already filed a complaint, not because I didn't receive the knife yet, but because I haven't gotten any responses from them. Did they fall off the face of the Earth?

I don't know, but there's a phone number in their listing. I may file a complaint at this time too. If ebay sees that they've got a number of complaints against the same seller they may act sooner. I'll do it today. Let's keep this thread up to date.

Doesn't ebay and PayPal have rules about shipping within a certain number of days once an item is paid for? If a seller or company is taking preorders and filling backorders, they need to get set up accepting credit cards and not posting to the card until the item is shipped.

I filed my complaint with Paypal first, then I went to do the same on Ebay which took me to Paypal, so I just hit cancel on that second round because I'd already done the Paypal forms.

The status says it's waiting for a response from the seller. We wait.

For me, it is hard to be patient after 14 days have gone by. I waited 29 days and several emails before I got my item. Too long to wait I think.

Well, Paypal just refunded my money, pretty fast turnaround. Maybe the company just decided to, well, get out of the knife racket. I got my money, off on the hunt for that CRKT M16-13 again. "On the road again..."

Well, I used the refunded money to buy a Freestyle watch and a Case mini copperlock amber scales :D Waiting for a response from FlamesnKnives about a M16-13.

Good. I should get mine soon too then. Did you leave him negative feedback?

I've looked at FlamesnKnives auctions, but never bid. I'm suspicious of places that have disclaimers THAT long. Besides, their descriptions often don't match the knife in the picture and that bothers me too. In my experience, you never get good service from places like that.

I've got one or two sellers I'll usually buy from on ebay if they have what I'm looking for, but if not, I'd rather spend a little more and get decent service from another dealer - like one that supports the forums.

I also like getting knives from individual ebay sellers rather than ebay businesses.

I've got a Paypal refund "pending" along with a rude note from NWI saying they "received no such emails" which is a LIE and I reforwarded one to them along with the date stamp and the other was sent though ebay, so they probably have a record of it.

I'm sure if I leave them neg they'll give me a retalitory neg and I'm 100% pos so I don't know what to do about that. Maybe I'll just take the money and run and not leave feedback at all.

See, this is why Ebay's feedback system is flawed! There is a time limit on how long you can leave feedback after a transaction, wait till the last day and nail him with it that evening. :)

Can't argue with that.

I actually thought about that. Somehow I just can't believe it would work. It's TOO easy. Ebay would have to allow the person to give it back.

At least there's a refund process through Paypal. Paypal has never failed me.

Got a confirmation today from Paypal. I got my money back. NWI didn't even resist.

I left Neutral. SHS, I noticed you left negative. They haven't left retalitory feedback for either of us...

yet.

good for you two! it's nice to see Paypal being responsive for a change, at least when it comes to refunds.

i understand your hesitation regarding feedback, FoL. it's really not fair -- if someone is a piss-poor seller, they deserve to be left negative feedback, but so often, they fire back with lies and excuses with their own negative feedback for you. i've actually taken a chance several times and left some neg's HARD. stunngingly, i've never received one in return. i'm still 100% with almost 400 transactions. if you can stand the consequences, i say leave appropriate feedback. it really does help others.
