Anybody EDC a Mean Street?

I'm really conflicted over whether I should throw $250 on my credit card to pay some debt or use it for a Mean Street Double Cut with Black Canvas and get a sheath made later. I'm thinking of trying to EDC the knife but I'd be coming from folders. Just curious if anybody EDCs one, or a knife in a similar size, and how they are able to do so comfortably. I really like the dimensions of the blade, just need to determine how I would carry it and whether I should order it now or wait until more of my credit card debt is paid off.

So far as EDC of a fixed blade, I carry often. I have a few 4ish inch blades that I carry horizontal cross draw (driving) , front pocket (walking around town) or kidney on my belt.

I EDC my Mean Street with black canvas and th BIG finish every day. Right along side my Benchmade Presidio Auto and Glock 26. I would go with Brown Sheaths, there are many carry options with the pancake holster when paired with a Tech Lok.
As far as buying a new toy over paying bills I can't really comment.
I hope this helps.

I was thinking Taco style with an IWB loop to keep it from being too wide. Any particular reason to go with the pancake sheath?

There are more carry options. You could go IWB along with pretty much any angle you want OWB. I carry a fire arm every where I go. Depending on the time of year, clothing and EDC set up I wear my fire arm in different places so to accommodate I switch around the Mean Street. With the pancake there are more rivet holes to attach the Tech Lok.
My buddy on the other hand prefers the taco style. Less material and he wears OWB canted around 4 O'clock

Clear credit card.... Then charge the knife.

2 ways I carry fixed. High ride strong side or horizontal.
The Mean Street is great but the handle pokes my side in a high ride position, I'm 5'11, 185 Lbs.
I'd carry it horizontally or get a blade with a shorter handle, Game Warden, Rodent 3.

I'm gonna go against the current and say pay off the debt, nothing worse than living with that hanging over you.

Making a credit payment for now and I'll see about this purchase after a bit more overtime at work. I've been picking up a lot lately. This way I make my wife happy before another Busse shows up. The TGLB is still new enough that I'm not totally out of trouble yet. :P

I may just carry some of my other small fixed blades for a bit to see how comfortable I can get. The Enyo I have has a pancake sheath with a BladeTech loop so that should be similar to how it would carry minus a bit of OAL.

... but I'd be coming from folders ...

I EDC folders. I find them easier because of their size. I can't imagine carrying the MS as my EDC but the most I ever wear is shorts and t-shirt lol. I know the MS is small (I've owned a few) but there are smaller Busse's out there. Buy it because it's the one you really need, not just because it's up for sale now. More will come.

And get rid of that debt. You'll feel better about that every time you wake up.

Chris.

I EDC both. Long time folder edc first time fixed edc. MS works for me. Then again I could edc a TGLB

^^^^ yup

I'm having a scout carry sheath made for my GW; it's pretty comfortable (sometimes I carry a bk14 like that); and as for the thought above--I'd love to edc my TGLB too!
