I like the NW Ranger. It was the first SOG blade I bought. Field Pup may be easier to make less noticeable. I just received a Spyderco Moran model yesterday that I am experimenting with. (Sorry, it is not a SOG.) I think Bob Dozier Sheath A would work better, but I am playing with this Moran model. It is pretty adjustable. Still not concealed, but not noticeble with jacket or shirt that hangs down (un-tucked). I wanted something (non-custom) that I don't feel bad if it gets scratched, but still fills the bill. Razor sharp out of the box.
Fixed blade EDC's can be a legal problem. Police here frequently view them as being carried for defensive/offensive purposes only unlike a fixed blade that you would carry out in the woods or on a hike. Out of sight is usually out of mind.
