Anybody EDC just an SAK or multi-tool?

Lately I've been finding myself just carrying a Vic Pioneer with me during the day, rather than pairing it up with a lock back folder of some sort. Considering the type of chores I usually need a knife for, I'm finding harder to justify carrying the second folder. What about you guys? Anyone else just carry an SAK or multi-tool rather than a regular folding knife?

Yes.

There's also a Mora and a Leatherman in my backpack, but I only carry the Vic Farmer (and a tiny SAK on my keychain) on my person. When I want to go really light, I use my keychain only, which has a the small SAK and a flashlight on it.
I don't know why, but I stopped carrying anything more. It might, no it WILL come back some day, but I can live like this, too.

The only time I carry just a MT or SAK is bumming around the house. Usually a SAK in the pocket. 90% of the time its a SAK + MT + knife + flashlight.

As DocArnie said for me it's just a SAK these days. I haven't carried another knife in over a year and I have to say I don't miss it.

Not me, I carry either SAK or LM squirt s4 plus a pocket knife. Only when wearing slacks do I carry just a multi or SAK.

I often carry my Vic Cadet (alox) or Vic Ambassador for light-duty EDC. Both nice little knives that rest light in the pocket.

Despite owning a few good locking folders (Sebenza, Spyderco), I have found lately that I can get along just fine with a SAK Tinker.

I carry a customized Vic, either a Yeoman with a long nail file, or a Yeoman with pliers and a long nail file, and a ZDP leek. I oftentimes need a one hand opener, and nothing does that better than an assisted opener. I tried carrying a Benchmade Shoki in a clip case for about two weeks, and although I really like the knife, it just doesn't match the ease of use of the leek. If I am only carryingone knife though, it's one of the customized Vics.

I still carry a Farmer , a Spirit , and a Strider PT ( the PT basically occupies the niche that a small F/B would fill ) . I have a Classic SD on my keys , mainly to give me scissors , tweezers etc. The dinky blade is great around sheeple . The least used member of the team is the PT .

I can easily get along just fine with my farmer, fireman, or Skeletool:thumbup:

I EDC one of several custom Vic SAKs that Scibeer has made for me, plus usually a Classic or Wenger PTC on the key chain.

I could definitely get by with just a SAK, but I enjoy having a knife on me. It's like if I were able to carry my favorite video games around with me in my pocket when I was a child :P

I could get by just fine with just a Farmer or a Huntsman , I just enjoy my other toys too much !

SAK when I am at home or in the office. Add a Buck 110 and a hatchet for woodswalking. SAK plus a pliers on weekends for chores and workshop use. SAK plus arrow puller and metal file when I am at the archery range.

Honestly, imo the SAK is meant for the action orientated knife user who knows that there is more to do than just plain old cutting.
that's why they are the preffered carry for clever boys and smart men alike.

Most of the time I carry a Swiss Champ with either a dummy-cord or belt hanger. Covers most everything, and is manageable in this configuration while casually dressed. Otherwise, its a Victorinox Farmer or Pioneer along with either a Classic/Rambler/Leatherman Squirt S4 on the keychain. Leaning more toward the Leatherman because the mini flathead screwdriver works on my glasses. And there is no way to carry the mini Victorinox eyeglass driver without a corkscrew! Well not unless I carry it loose in my pocket.

I haven't carried a one hander in about a year and a half and haven't needed the lock or one hand opening. I have enough crap on me when I leave the house that the one hander and SAK were redundant. Since I can do so much more with a SAK I kept that. Plus if I really need to I can open it with one hand by holding the lanyard in my teeth.
