Anybody else having troubles browsing?

For the last few days I keep getting the "cannot be found" message fairly regularly. Thought it was spyware or a virus or something but my machine comes up clean (not that that really means anything I guess :( ). Then I saw on the J-Walk Blog he's having the same problems.

For the love of God does anybody know what's going on????!!!!! Or do J-Walk and I just have crappy computers?
 
What ISP are you on?

Comcast is having a major outage right now. They've been very good in the past, thought, so I suspect this will be fixed shortly. Right now, I can reach some sites and not others.
 
I have Verizon DSL. I just refreshed the comments at J-Walk and a guy just posted some info on what may be going on:

"There is a denial of service in many DNS servers right now because of a "poisoned cache" which means hackers have gotten into the DNS tables and changed entries, causing DNS to malfunction. This has happened before and could be bad... http://www.sans.org has more info on this."

Of course, sans.org had a bunch of stuff on it that was way above my head and I couldn't find the info he's referring to.
 
I've got comcast at home and have struggled this pm to browse my own website. It's a shame talented folks like hackers don't put their talents to work for the greater good. :grumpy:
 
Be thankful you can get yours at all. I'm cut off from mine. It's a good thing I decided to stay up late last night and upload a my latest exhibit instead of waiting.
 
I'm one of those $poor$ guys who still has "dial-up", and for the past couple days, my "normal" connection speed has gone from 45k-46k down to 40k-44k, and sometimes it even connects me at 32k....Bastards!.:mad:
 
Second night in a row it has happened. I have Comcast and finally it seems to have cleared up about an hour ago. We'll see about tomorrow evening.
 
Comcast's got it going again.

We had one of these a couple of weeks ago too.

They're usually very, very reliable... and lightening fast.
