thats a great looking old kit
more info would be awesome
thanks

great picture. more info?

'Tis my primary go-to SAR knife; the sheath was built to keep it handy below my pack and other gear.
The pouch opens along the front, which is on 'top' when kneeling. A newer design uses a fastex buckle instead of snaps.
The orange pouches attached contain a Mark 13 day/night smoke and an aerial flare.
Hope that helps...

... Love to see it out of the sheath.

Here it is with the 'companion' Bill Siegle built for it:

Sadly my Scrapyard Son of Dogfather is not in my hands as it is getting a new pair of pants from Semper Paratus Tactical.

However, upon return from its journey it will be the main part of my big knife kit.

Durn, that's right nice. Here's my Ratweiler kit. It contains all the same stuff as the kit in the original post, except the SuperTool 200 is a Wave.

Still working on the contents, I haven't had a lot of time to play with my sharp toys lately.

I am in the process of making 3 such rigs up.

A BK2 that was beadblasted had custom black micarta handles put on it and thumb serations, replaced the screws with pins. A knife from Flatgrinder here on the forums, he called it a sharpened prybar. And a Tops Tracker.

The Tracker is being bead blast and reground to a more knifelike edge and the flatgrinder one is being beadblasted.

Those two knives are out being modified and the one that is done is out getting a custom sheath. The sheaths for the Tracker and Sharpened prybar are being modified by the same maker as well.

Each sheath will be leather and will have removeable belt loop, D-ring and Dangler, 2 Piggypack straps, firesteel loop, a pouch that will hold an altoids sized tin and tie downs.

I can wear them on belt vertically or horizontally or lower with the dangler or use the piggy back strops to mount them to a thigh rig.

Why 3? Well I am terrible at sharpening knives. I suck at it, I can get a functional egde but thats it. So my plan is to use one and when it gets dull put it aside and use the next one. Since they will all have micarta handles and beadblasted finishes when they are all dull and grimy I can take them to my handy dandy neigborhood knifemaker and he can put em in the booth blast em again and then sharpen them and they will be like new and ready for another go round.

I will be sure to post pics when everything is back from the craftsmen and finished but here's what I have so far, Also a pic of the thigh rig I am talking about:

I do the same, but with entire packs. I have three complete bugout bags built and change out clothes as necessary based on current weather conditions or specific outdoor activities. I'm working on more, a few more moras, rodans, condor machetes and cold steel hawks and I will have five kits built. Just picked up a Kelty Coyote 4000 on ebay for 17 bucks as well.
