Anybody ever notice Sal's tag on the Native III?

******WARNING******** Newbie question.*************

I saw that on my Native III yesterday. I also see it on other Spydercos. Now I know what it is …kinda. Sal’s tag. I like the way it looks. Where can I learn more about it? I was unable to find anything on Spydercos web site?

Welcome to the Spydie forum, Condition 1, and good to see you after talking with you in your Wharncliffe thread!:)

As far a Sal's tag, it's just his name, to identify the designer of the knife, though he leaves tag off of a lot of other stuff in the line-up that he's designed. His son, Eric, also designs for Spyderco, and you can see his "E" shaped tag on knives such as the Dodo, the Scorpious, the Manix, and others. That's pretty much all of the info I've got.

Stick around, you'll love this place!

it's just his name... what more would you need to know about it?

Some people, Spyderco fans in particular, like to find out about stuff, all kinds of stuff, even if it may seem boring to others. Since Sal seems willing to share, what's the problem with people asking?;)

That’s interesting. I did not know about his son. Now I’ll know to look for the “E” too.

Thank you 3G :)
