Call one of his knife line suppliers. A small one like Knives of Alaska. If they have been shipping out lots of knives or he has been a long time customer of theres I wouldnt worry as much. I would call the number and ask if you can send a money order, see if they give you a P.O. Box or an physical adress. Better Business Berau also might be able to help. Or if they take pay pall you can check there customer rating, I like to see 100%.
