Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Anybody ever seen a Samoan "War Club"

My dad brought this home from Samoa when he was there about 1940 with the Marines. Just wondering if anyone had seen anything like this before? I would never actually use it, just like the look of it especially the hook. His old Imperial is included for size comparison. He always called it a "War Club" but I"m sure it was a tourist thing even back then. Still trying to add a photo, no luck?

Only found this war axe from them. Wonder what materials they used?

That'll dent a head. Looks something like the clubs carried by the 'Naturals' in the movie "New World".

Moldy Joe, what I do is set up a Picasa account (easy and free) and store photos there. Then when you post a thread you click on the 'insert image' button and paste in the address to the Picasa pic. Dying to see the pic of this thing

I thought for a second you were talking about the Taiaha Very versatile and effective weapon, but not Samoan. If you email me the image I'll add it to the thread, I'm always interested in exotic staff weapons, clubs, etc.
