Anybody got a Ka-Bar Heavy Bowie yet

Depends on where you live...;) In the States the price should be around 45-50$, whereas over here in good ol' Europe I paid around 90$ (63€), but it was definitely worth it.
 
i was very excited to get this knife. i ordered it from knifesplus very good service. the first time i took this knife out it was at night to chop some small limbs 2 3 inches, 5 10 whacks it took to finish the limb. after the limb fell i turned my light on to find the limb and to my horror i saw 3 huge pieces of the blade missing. do not buy this knife. you are better off with a cheapo 10 dollar 440 bowie. very disappointed. anyone wants to see the damage i have a couple pictures. chilimonkeymouth@yahoo.com ill be glad to send them to ya. i dont want anyone else buying one of these lemons.
 
that knife is currently on my wish list at thebladeshop.com based on the info and a youtube video it looks like it would have a good grip and would be a great outdoor knife

that's a shame that happened to you. If you still have it you should sharpen the scallops and sell it to a mall ninja...or keep it...it might be kinda cool...

if you're going to accuse someone of acting like a woman, you might want to make sure that you don't have photos of yourself like this in a non-password protected photobucket account.

In the Ka-Bar bowies, if I am not mistaken they have both a D@ and 1095 version. You will pay more for the D2 steel but i am sure it is worth a doubling in price.

oh pooh i have a daughter, and we have a blast together. i have taken a dremel to it and it is kinda cool. and lettting your 5 year old put make up on ya is way different than sounding like a whiner. they were already viewable at photo bucket. posting them here in a knife forum is just lame. but i aint mad at ya. it just shows what your interested in. LMAO.
 
Pretty serious damage to that Kabar. Clearly something went wrong. Hated resident Noss found the Heavy bowie to be very durable indeed.

I'm not a woman, but your comment doesn't worry me at all. Have you asked Ka-Bar to replace it?

I have the knife too and i am really glad, that i bought it three years ago half price in a special offer.
