Hey there, guys. Daniel Koster's handle material thread reminded me I've been meaning to post this for a while.
I'm looking for some stag to use on miniature knives. I have a bunch of scrap pieces already, but I'm looking for something in particular that's rather hard to find. I want pieces with an extremely fine natural texture, so that on a miniature it would look like a normal full sized piece. I'd cut it for scales, so no worry about the diameter, etc., and it only needs to be like a half inch long, so cut offs are fine. I could just carve some texture into a regular scrap and dye it or something, but I'd really prefer to use a piece that's got the right look naturally.
If anybody's got a piece that might fit the bill, I'd be happy to pay you a reasonable amount, including shipping, for it. And if by chance you're willing to post pictures, that would be really cool too.
Thanks.
