Anybody had any luck hunting yet......

Going muzzle loading this weekend. Usually use a Savage Inline but going traditional this year and carrying a 54 cal flintlock. Should be interesting.

He Shoots!, He Scores!!

My hunting partner got his first deer.
I'm not sure if we got pics, but I used my Scrapmax to dress it out. That thing is like a scalpel!

Thats a good looking doe Don. Nice job.

I packed four horses into the Uintas here in Utah. Set up a nice elk camp, and did a great deal of hiking. It was a good trip, but unfortunately I didn't tag anything. My buddy got a nice cow and a little spike. He got the spike opening morning at first light. Pretty cool!!!

Ill have some good pictures of the hunt. Ill post them here.

Nothing to really write home about, but like I said in my meat thread I don't really care about the size of the rack at this point (i.e. I can't be picky)

Yep, took down a 120lb doe with my beautiful Acura MDX last week going up to a fishing tournament... Good news was it made for a delicious goulash and packed the freezer... Bad news is that I gotta go back to my old Jalopy...

Went out and found lots of does, and plenty of elk and moose spore. Nothing legal up here this year. Congrats to those who filled their freezers. At least I have plenty of salmon, tuna and cod in mine.

I will trade you a freezer full of venison for a freezer full of salmon.

Thanks for the reminder T.

Still surrounded by standing corn fields here. Its like the farmers know I want the corn gone and they are saving everything around me til the very end.

Hindsight, I can send you some next season if you want to handle shipping. Maybe not a freezer full, but enough to get a few meals from.

Only one field of corn left around my place. Makes me a happy man. Good luck messer.

Great pictures everyone! The closer it gets to gun season, the more anxious I am. I'm surprised there aren't more pictures here, bring on the tasty bambi shots!

If I had hunted nothing this year, I would have filled my tag many times over. My youngest daughter's teacher drew a special cow, elk tag and came back with nothing as well. I am going to have to pop some of the bunnies in my yard just to make myself feel better. Oh, and make stew.

I shot a nice buck on Veteran's Day in Van Zandt county, Texas. 198 pounds, 177 B&C. Clean shot through the heart with Sako 85 in .260 Remington at 170 yards. 130 grain Nosler Accubond.
