I must admit that I have always been one of those guys that just doesn't see a need to carry one of those little toy sized axes. I haven't found anything one of them can do that one of my 7"-10" choppers can't do just as well. Well, that may have changed today. My main hunting buddy and I were scouting some newly aquired land today on horseback when he rides up beside me at a where we were stopping to dismount and do a little trail cutting/clearing and he says,"here, give this thing a try" and proceeds to hand me a Hultafors Mini Hatchet. After a fair amount of grumbling on my part I decided to give it a try and I must say, I was thoroughly Impressed!! The ergos were great and that little thing was so easy to use. It did way more work than it seemed like it should be able to do. Well, needless to say, I am now the proud new owner of a Hultafors Mini Hatchet, thanks to my buddy Don who knows me pretty well, and knew I would love it if I would just give it a try(that's why he bought 2, 1 for him and 1 for me) Now I just have to get some custom leather made for it so it can take it's rightful place on my saddle.
Guys, for those of you looking for a hatchet or axe of any size, I would strongly sugest you check out the Hultafors line. Heck, I had never even heard of them before today, and I have own Wetterlings, Granfors, Fiskars and Stihl axes and hatchets. It is my understanding that the Hultafors falls somewhere in between the Gransfors and Wetterlings, and of the three people I have shown this new Hultafors to today that also owm Granfors Minis, two of them are ordering one of the Hultafors. I just thought I would share this with everyone.
Oh ya, if any of y'all are rattlesnake hunters and want a place to come pick a few up, please shoot me an E-mail and I will make it happen for ya. If you can get to North Cebtral Texas I will put you up for a night or two, feed ya and maybe even take you hog hunting. Of course you might have to ride fences in the morning for an hour or two to help out, but that should be a treat for some of you city boys.

No mmc, I'm sorry but I don't. I will ask my buddy tomorrow where he got them from. His wife is from Sweden and he gets stuff from places I have never heard of sometimes. His wife's brother sent us our Gransfors from over there much cheaper than we could get in the US even including shipping. I still can't figure that one out.
