Anybody have a knife that resides only in their vehicle?

Just wondering if anybody has a "truck knife" or "car knife"? Do you have something for emergencies in the glovebox or whatever that just stays with the vehicle? Fixed or folder? And why or why not?

Absolutely. If you live in my neck of the woods and you don't have a BOB, food and water in your vehicle, you're just asking for trouble. I've got a Scrap Yard Scrapper 6 and a multitool in my vehicle BOB. And my wife carries a Buck 110 and a multitool in her vehicle BOB.

When I leave for someplace for any duration, I take along my Maxpedition bag with various stuff in it. I don't necessarily carry it around, just have it in the car.

However, each car has a FB in it. I believe at the moment my Wife's care has a Mora (SS version) & mine has an Ontario RAT3 D2.

I keep a Becker BK2 with paracord in my truck door well at all times and I have a SAK and Pacific Salt in my BOB at all times then I always have a nice folder in my pocket. - so my answer is yes!

I keep a Leatherman Blast, an LED Surefire 6P, and a Lansky turnbox in the center console. I've got all my tools for work in the trunk. In another tool bag in the trunk I have Buck Nighthawk Tanto. I always have a folder in my pocket.

Truck is loaded... Right at hand are a little CRKT dogfish, Benchmade Houdini, Becker Necker, Gerber MultiTool and Rat 1 folder. Also have (in various locations) Tenacious, CRKT Drifter, Leatherman Juice, CS Roach Belly, Gerber Gator, and CS SRK -- Oh yeah, and a SOG hawk!
