Anybody have a Mini Recon 1 yet?

Thanks for putting the pictures up! And yep it is aluminum just like the bigger ones

Can one of you please let me know if the mini recon can be flicked open without touching the thumbstuds or blade? Just by using centrifugal force, or spydie type drop? I have the full size AL which can be opened this way. I would like to buy the mini recon and our customs won't let it in if it can be opened this way.

I was so impressed with the AL I started looking at the other offerings and this one really suits my needs. Really like the design of the triad lock, simple but very effective and strong.

That's actually want I want to hear. I dont want to be able to open it with a flick, because then it is deemed a flick knife in Oz and they will not let it in. So to confirm, are you saying it is not possible to flick it open without using thumbstud?

Thanks res1cue.

I just tried again just now for you. It is not possible.

I think they're pretty reasonable now aren't they? $60?

Reasonable, yes, but the MSRP on them is lower than the full size Recon 1's. They should come down to around $50 sooner or later. I guess it's only a matter of $10 though.
