Anybody have a new Buck on the way?

I'm thinking of putting some AG's on the Christmas list and see what Santa does.:D
Yes I'm quoting myself. I'm indecisive. I was pretty sure I was going to ask for an AG of some sort. But I dot know. I'm really kicking around that DLT drop point 110. I just think its cool.

Wow! First one! Well congrats. There is a good reason that the 110 has been around since 1963 and I cannot think of any other locking knife design from any maker that can make that claim. It is often copied but none done so well.

Pitiful, isn't it? :o I was never really into knives and such. I liked looking at them and stuff, but I just never really got into them. That's all changed when I decided I didn't want a crappy knife anymore. :D When a relative found out that I was looking for a new knife, he gave me a bunch of his old ones he didn't want anymore (where the 112 came from). They're nice ones, too. Now I've got a nice collection going. I've cleaned and polished them up. Four of them are 110 sized. I might have to get into collecting more blades.

I've been so jealous of pinnah's Duke that when one popped up on a popular auction site I had to have it. Old script 550 Duke in 440C with red micarta scales. Looks lightly used and should clean up nicely. And I intend to use it anyway, like all of my knives.

I have one on the way, but not for me. Yesterday I was working on a project around the house with my good friend who also happens to be my contractor. At one point I handed him my 110 to cut something and he held it and exclaimed "wow, what beautiful craftsmanship." This is a guy who always goes above and beyond for me, so I went and ordered a 110 for him. He loved the mirror edge my WorkSharpKO put on mine, so I'll do the same for his.

I missed my entry date by a couple weeks, but I just bought another 110, it's now my favorite for two reasons. First, the blade grind is absolutely flawless in every respect. More importantly, the date on the box is Oct 16, which was the day before my birthday, and the very first time I've taken my son on an overnight campout--------------------I wanted to bring in MY new year waking up with an overjoyed 4yr old. So I'm keeping not only the knife, but the box, and obviously the photos from the overnighter. Someday I'll pass along the knife to my son with huge sentimental tears in my eyes. In the meantime this 110 is my official "camping with my son" knife, and I hope to pile on tons of wonderful memories. Naturally I'll have a few other blades along like us knife knuts always do, but that's beside the point ;)

Now that's what I call a tip.

I ordered a 110 ram horn with brass and an S30V blade. This is my fourth 110. I also have a 112, 119. Alpha Hunter, NRA gift Buck, boot knife, and a assisted opener.

116 arrived packing it up with a few other's off to the Spa, a set of 5160's should be here in a day or 2

Buck sale the entire week after thanksgiving and father's day. Twice a year. Love it. They do a great job.

Thanks for the info. They're just far enough out of range that I know I'd get into a total buying frenzy making up for the fuel expense. My wife would definitely need to stay home on that trip!

Picked up a 110 from Walmart, couldn't find a damn thing wrong with it. I'm good with it. Gary

I ordered a custom 110 about a 2 weeks ago; it should be here by Christmas.

I have a Ball and Buck 50th anniversary model on its way. S30V partially serrated blade, heritage walnut dymondwood scales with brass Ball and Buck medallion inlay and Buck 50th anniversary tang stamp. It comes in an LE box with a distressed leather sheath with the Ball and Buck logo on it. Only 250 were made. I am surprised that any were still available but I'm happy to add it to my 110 50th Anniversary collection!

Interesting....tell me more.

Hoping for a Christmas present - either Vantage pro or maybe even the Marksman...:) Also just got an email from Buck, 40% off sale on the website through Dec. 11th. That brings prices close to "street price", plus free shipping on $50 orders.
