When I made this thread I was just hoping that there was a review somewhere out on the net by someone who's in the "inside". Kind of like a movie critic who gets to see films before the general public.

You're right. The original is one of the all-time great folders. But I am going to be VERY pleased with the SpyderLobster!

Ah. See, I think its the ugliest knife I've seen in a while... So visually, I don't like it.
I was hoping for a couple reason that aren't "It looks cool" or "It's a cool color".

OK, it is a Spyderco, it uses VG-10 which takes a wicked edge, the blade has plenty of belly, which will make it a great cutter. Did I mention it is made by Spyderco?
