My brother is going to be my best man in my wedding, and he is just starting to get into knives. I wanted to get him something that would fit his tastes, and that he could use on a regular basis without having to worry about it's durability. I have a cpm 20cv Griptilian that I want to mod with some simple black AWT scales and a raw aluminum backspacer. He is really into the simplistic look, and I thought that'd be a great choice for the aesthetics and usability. Does anyone have any long term experience with these scales? do they hold up well? Do I need to add some loctite? Any info is appreciated! :)

I have the exact same setup, except for the clip, and I use mine daily, for everyday cutting tasks and it hold great, and the MX Gear clip, it looks really good, I hated the black plastic scales, now I use it much more

Also have the same setup, love the scales because they're not super expensive like the Wilkins, but still an easy improvement, for me at least, over the original. I've got some on the Ritter Grip, and on a normal drop point 154cm Grip. You could use some LT if you want, no reason not to really. I love em, highly suggested.

I've got a set on all of my Griptilians. Yes, they hold up very well....most still look new. The HA is very durable. Think AR-15 receiver. No locktite needed. Excellent value.
