Is the blade *really* chipped out of flint??? :confused:

They had some Yellowhorse models like that a while back. Just steel, but incredible cool.

I think that's another good custom shoppe request. :thumbup:

From http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=64014&hvarTarget=search :

"The 111's single front bolster is made of polished Burl wood, while the handle's balance is genuine elk horn. The drop point blade is darkened and ground by hand to replicate an authentic Native American arrowhead look."
i love the blade! but
hummm... did anyone else notice that it is not a 111 but a 110! look at the balde !
so the bolster has been filed off and a carved edge of wood in the 111 style put in- to me it is still a 110 custom and a 04 year to boot which is before the 111 {right?}

SO.. that begs a question =
is it the blade or the bolster/frame that makes a knife a 110 or somethign else???
what youa'l collecting them say? blade or frame ?

Yeah, I saw the 110 blade stamp as well. Made me wonder about the "111" name.

No I don't own a Timberlake 111. But I did just get a Timberlake 196 in the mail today. It sure is sweet!!!!!

Wow! That mini Alpha is perfect for the "chipped flint" look! I would like one with the whole handle like that, and just some leather and leaves and stuff wrapped around it. :)
