  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

anybody here into straight-razors?

Iv been muling around the idea of a "tactical" razor for a while but my shop time has always gone to other things.

I'm thinking along the lines of a "saca tripas" style razor, with a single finger ring for a bit more stability than a regular razor, if you need to, say, shave someone in a SD situation ;)

I think the design lends its self quite nicely to a razor ?

Id go for thick G-10 scales with no liners or Ti would be good also. Getting a nice hamon on the blade would look super sweeeeeet as well

Id think that a good stainless would be nice, as the cream can be quite corrosive on an edge, convex edge of course. hollow grind? handle, modern- G10 or corian, traditional- cow bone?

Make sure that you have a classic razor strop on hand to test how well the razors work with the common tools of the trade. You can't expect your customers to have a strop on a wooden block impregnated with magic diamond dust.
