Sorry, no telescopes ... but I salute your astronomical interests anyway.
Failing to see any stars out tonight,
I doubt that I'll see the Great Northern Light.
They follow, I've heard, each great solar flare,
But as long as it's cloudy, I won't know they're there.
The science of beauty is abstract and rigorous;
Our esthetic pursuits are nonetheless vigorous.
We measure each color, chroma and hue,
As if we had nothing better to do.
We measure each refractive angle,
And listen to celestial spheres jangle.
In the end, we're only certain,
The Aurora Borealis makes a heavenly curtain.
