Anybody know a G. Root in Erie, PA. ?

Bought a cute litte medium custom jigged bone and titanium liner lock at a show today, and the blade was marked G.Root Erie, PA. Was hoping to find out somthing about the maker. Web search turned up nothing.

I searched and found his name is Gary Root. Try searching on that.

Hi JD,
I searched all over hell trying to find out anything I could about Garry Root when I owned that knife. I sold it to Lee about a year ago. I never really did find anything but seem to remember running across the name in the not too distant past. If I remember where, I'll let you know. That's a great little knife.

I know him, and have seen him at a few shows. I ran into him at the Dover show in Ohio this Summer. He had a whole table of nice Fixed Blades. His Phone number is 814-459-0196. His address is 644 East 14th street in Erie Pa. 16503. He has an advertisement in the December issue of the Blade Magazine 2002. He is a great guy.

We are contemplating putting together some form of camping/drinking/knife testing (Not nessecarilly in that order) trip.

Bought several of his fixed blades from a gun dealer outside of Erie about 10 years ago...My hometown is Erie and was visiting my relatives..good quality knives..
