Hey guys,
Hoping that one of you can help me find contact info for Art, the really great older gentleman who runs the table at some shows for the ABS. The ABS table was directly behind mine at the OKCA show, and so Art and I had a lot of time to chat. He seemed like a really nice guy, and was a pleasure to talk to.

At one point, we were chatting about making knives and he asked me about folders. I told him I had made a couple prototypes but wasn't totally pleased with them. I said I wanted to find a copy of Bob Terzuola's book at some point to get some tips to improve my work. He found one at the show, but by the time he came to my table to let me know the book was already sold.

Well, Art took one of my cards and I got home from work today to find a near mint condition copy of the book waiting for me in my mailbox. Art sent me his own personal copy!! What a really cool gesture from a guy who doesn't even really know me!

I would love to get in touch with him to thank for his generosity, but didn't get his info at the show. Does anyone know Art's email address or phone number? If so I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

That's awesome. A little love from an ABS member for a stockremoval guy. Now you really need go to Mike Turner's for a few lessons!

Is it possible you are talking about Art (Aurthur) Summers from NC. I know he is a member here in NC on the knifemaking guild. Not so sure about the ABS though.

Thanks Chris, but he's from WA state.

Check with Mr. Bump, I think he knows him.

Hi Johnny, I know Art very well and am not one bit surprised of his generosity. He,s one of the finest men I know and am proud to call him and his lovely wife Linda friends. Art Swyhart from Klititat Washington. If you need more info please email me.

That is too cool Jonny. Art is definitely one heck of a nice guy! Had fun running across multiple state lines with you! I agree with Bryan on the Mike Turner visit!
