There is an article about some guy in Montana named Simonich. He claims he can make knives without using steel!!?

Nice article Rob. Great looking pictures too. I did notice that they didn’t put a picture of you in the piece.
 
I'll be sure to check it out when I go to the library at home next week. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Rob earned that article one knife at a time and it could not have happened to a nicer guy. Congradulations Rob!
 
It's gotta be something in the water out there in MT. How can one state hold so many of the absolutely best knifemakers in the world???

I had to break down and join the Montana Knifemakers just to keep up with them and here I am in Coastal GA. ;)
 
I saw that,and was dissapointed.
Crooked grinds,sloppily fit scales,and some wierd kind of metal called Talonite...guess its way up there with 420j2 (Thats that NASA grade steel,ya know).
