Anybody Seen the new MNANDI???

Paul, you're welcome. I didn't know about the sandblasted/polished difference. The only fact I'm sure of (based on the letter that came with the knife) is that mine is out of the second run of prototypes.

Aabeen, I'm not a gambler, but I'd bet we will see a carbon fiber Mnandi in the first group of "specials" that CRK produces. There has to be a lot of demand for it--I know I want one myself. I hope they will consider polishing/anodizing the bolsters as well.

Is it just me, or does that dark wood inlay make the knife kind of ugly, like some sort of relic from the 1960s? That wood-inlaid Sebenza is beautiful in my opinion, the best I've seen. I think the Mnandi would look better with similar honey-colored wood

The new knife sure does look nice. Does anybody have a
picture of the clip side. What is diffrent about it.
Thanks
David

As much as I love my silver contrast small sebenza, sometimes I wish I had something a little bit smaller. A lefty umfaan would've fit perfectly, but, alas, no clip. Now there's the Mnandi, which is simply gorgeous, plus it has a clip.

Any chance of lefties being made? Please say yes:D A lefty mnandi with carbon inlays would just be about perfect.

cheers
Aabeen

Interesting thing about the new clip design--it can go on either side. Both sides are nearly identical, including the shape of the inlay. The inlay covers the locking bar, unlike the wood inlay on the Sebenza.

Ziracote is nice for a dark wood, but it doesn't photograph easily. I like lighter woods myself, and I expect it won't be long till I see a Mnandi in light wood I can't live without.

Hello, When are these new knifes going to be ready for delivery??? They seem to be pretty heavily backlogged as it is right now. I have a few things that have been on order now for 10 months and according to Bridget they might not be ready for another 3 months:( Well I can wait, cause they are worth it.;) Cya, JC

Yes the knife will be available in a left hand version, but you will have to get in line, the knife is a winner and will be in high demand!
