I saw this in my back woods magazine issue

HOLEB BUSHMAN

Whether you hunt, fish, snowmobile, hike, or camp in the backcountry, the Holeb Bushman is the one tool that you should bring with you into the woods. Designed by outdoor people for outdoor people, the Bushman combines all of the critical functions of a saw, hatchet, trenching tool and knife into a single fixed blade tool.

The Bushman is not your typical multi-tool and you can't fold it up and put it in your pocket. If you've ever spent time in the woods, you already know that there are very real limitations to what you can do with these multi-tools.

We manufacture the Bushman in the U.S.A. from 440 stainless steel. The heft and weight of the Bushman makes it ideal for turning logs into kindling, clearing shooting lanes and all your camp comfort needs from pounding tent stakes to clearing a fire pit.

The Bushman is designed to provide outdoorsmen and women with a truly usable tool for the backcountry. We've put as much thought into the design of the handle as we have put into the blade. The handle is completely reversible to ensure comfort and safety whether you are chopping or sawing. Our handle is hand-crafted from Ipe heartwood from South America. Ipe is an extremely durable, weather resistant and dense wood.

We are so sure of the Bushman's construction that we guarantee it for the lifetime of its owner. Just return the damaged original product to us and we'll send you a replacement free of charge.

See what people are saying about the Bushman!

> 13 inches long
> 7/32 thick
> 6 inch chopping blade
> 5 inch saw tooth spine
> Cast 440 stainless

that is my thoughts but just Looked interesting...the handle looks funky..that gap space from the handle to the blade,I do not know about that either.....that flat spot on the blade is weird also...

The flat spot is actually pretty neat to baton with instead of beating on the saw back. It's a pretty cool design I think. If the steel were better I think they would be more appealing.

It seems on the small side with only a 6 inch blade. Also on the high side in price plus they charge you extra for the sheath. I would like to handle one first. Get a Knives of Alaska cleaver combo and have a better set up.

Was not planning on purchasing it just thought it was interesting little setup...just see what everyone thought about it,I thought it was ok,for jacking around the house but at the $ it is not worth diddly to me,just wondered if anybody else saw them and there thoughts !

440 is a piss poor choice for something like that. Ipe handle might be worth more. It's #3 on the Janka scale.

Interesting piece there, I have to echo the sentiment that 440 sucks, 1095 would be a nice choice for that and other than that it seems like a less well thought out Becker Brute, with the flat spot for a hammer and such.

Its firmly in the "lets sell this to people who have absolutely no idea about wilderness tools" category ie. an overpriced piece of crap.
