Anybody Walk At Night?

I love the night, especially with a big, bright moon.
I also work the vampire shift, so I'm very used to the night.

My eyes are very light sensitive, and I see better at night than most people I know, even with no moon. I do carry a flashlight just in case.
 
Nearly every night I do a 2 to 7 mile walk with my dog in various NYC parks. Don't really need a flashlight for finding the way but it's nice to have for safety and security sake. I got a Fenix LD20 (thanks GoingGear) a couple of weeks ago and often use it to scout ahead on the darker paths. Last week I had it on Turbo (180 lumens) on a dark path in a dicey park. Off to the side I hear some voices and turn the light and scared the crap out of two crack smokers. They were like deer in headlights, frozen solid. I kept walking and 20 feet later I hear one of them curse, "Yo, you dropped the f*****' rock".
 
I run at night.. does that count? I always carry a Nitecore DI flashlight and a Boker Wharcom or Subclaw whenever I go running at night.
