I am looking for someone to add serrations to a plain edge knife. Does anyone have any information or know of anyone who offers this service? Any help is appreciated.

I think Mike Turber has a machine to do it. You might want to talk to him about it. Puts Microtech style ones on if my memory serves me correctly.

Yup. I do it. You will need to call me to make sure I can do your knife. The usual charge is about $25.

Here is a pic of a Busse #5 I have done.

Neat job, Mike. BTW, what does the serrating machine look like and how does it work? Haven't seen one yet - any pics?

Very cool mike! Is there anything you can't do?

(Getting nervous that with Mike Turber around, the world will no longer have a need for the rest of us.)

There are plenty of things I can't do but nothing that can't be done.

The way we do the serrations is fairly simple. I use a diamond wheel (expensive as hell) that you place on a bench grinder. I can do nearly any knife with a straight edge for at least the first 2" beyound the choil.

Not to be annoying, but a dremel with a diamond engraver (cylinder shaped, 1mm thick, 5 mm long) and a chiansawkit make serrations like the regular spyderco's.
You just need a LOT of practice to get them as nice as Mike does 'm !

OK. What I want done is for someone to put serrations on my Sifu. A fully serrated Sifu, now that would be a wicked looking knife! If anyone is up to the challenge I am willing to pay for it.
