Anyone At Odds with Demko?

You’re not alone.
I sold my AD20 because of it. Still have a 20.5 but just don’t carry it because of the lock. Just don’t care for the lock at all. Placement mainly. Probably going to sell the 20.5 too. You are not alone. 😂

Have you tried taking some fine sandpaper to it? Be a shame to bench a knife just because of a defect (that should have been caught by QC)

I don't own a demko but have a knife with a similar lock, it was poking me but after some rounding down it has no issues now.

My only issue has been the thick cutting edge. I've made the sharkfoot a bit more narrow but I'm having a heck of a time showing it:

Ugh. They both look the same in the pic but to the eyeball its more slice ready.

I have a 20.5 which I enjoy carrying very much. Haven't had any issues. I'm not a fidget person.

After taking the ad20.5 fishing this morning i used it to cut some tag lines, came home did some food prep with it, and took it apart for a cleaning and some kpl. My interest in the knife has been restored. Its a cool peice despite the pointy lock. As an enthusiast/user i can look past the lock positioning and enjoy the action and utility. Thanks for your time everyone!

finally thanks for that man

I absolutely love Demko knives! So far, I have a 20.5 and a 20S and neither one really bothers me...my grip seems to fall behind the shark fin unless I am choking up on the blade but then I usually put my thumb on the shark fin and it feels perfect! I find Demkos unique and original enough that I really have no interest in CRK, Hinderer or any other top tier knife (except maybe Spartan...I do like the SHF a lot, LOL!)

No problems here. I think the lock tab is perfect. I find it to be the most practical EDC knife I have ever had. I like the light weight carbon fiber version with the pocket clip and thumb studs removed.
