Anyone buy a Tuff today?

like others, the 3" cutting edge on 9" oal is a total deal breaker for me, i'll keep carrying my M4 milie.

Needs to have a GBB lock for me to jump. I'd even take back lock. Price puts this one out of my league.

I really wanted one when I saw the prototype photos, but the production model added those dimples on both sides and I changed my mind. It is a great knife, but I cannot get over those dimples on both sides. I could even live with it if the dimples were only on the G-10 side, but both--come on!

I don't like the dimples or huge choil either. Also the fuller seems odd on a folder. It makes sense on a sword, but on a folder?

funny, i love the dimples. it is stiff to open and stiff to close but its steadily growing on me. rides better in the pocket than my manix 2.

Do you think that's the kind of stiffness that'll disappear after you break it in? Have you played with the pivot or tried lubricating it?

To me, if there's anything to be had from this "love it or hate it" polarization, it's that there'll be a ready supply of LNIB Tuffs in the Knife Exchange.

Got mine yesterday. It may look unconventional to some but it sure is well built. It locks with a clicking sound like a vault. Rev, these won't need a regrind for sharpness reasons. To change the blade shape if you like but this is probably the sharpest spyderco I've encountered. 3V is like that though. It gets danger sharp!

I should be getting mine today, within the hour I hope. I was thinking about eliminating at least half the choil and increase the cutting edge. I really like the blade shape, it reminds me of a bionic knukuri.

Just received my Tuff in the mail. First impressions are impeccable build quality. This knife came razor sharp and the fit an finish is excellent. The pivot is extremely tight but I'll see how it breaks in with repeated openings. In short this knife is pretty awesome.

sorry.
don't get me wrong, i love spyderco and it is by far my most bought brand!
however, the aesthetics on this one is simply too funky for me.
i'm sure it is very well put together like most spydercos are.
just posting my opinion:)
