It's a shame that the only place to find some nice ones I'd eventually like to try out is in his clutches.

At REALLY annoys me is that now, apparently, he's got buddies going to shows with him to snatch up all the cool custom stuff. I'd hate if he actually was able to corner the market this way and get what he's asking, or worse yet charge MORE for em.

I knew that Liu Kang had a bit of a bad rep around here and that his knives were way overpriced, but I'd somehow missed the drama that got him banned. I did a search to find out what the fuss was about, and one thing I ran across was a post by Guyon from a now closed thread cataloging Liu Kang's many offenses against truth, justice, and the American way, and this one caught my eye:

- Ask that members remove prices on knives you've bought to obscure your profit margin.

Is that where where this pernicious practice started?

I don't know the man, heard lots of bad about him for a long while. Part of me says as long as There are guys like him with prices like his it helps with everyone else's share price. There must be people out there willing to pay those prices or why would he do it?

I don't mind him at all. I have seen similar markups casually on knives in this forum and others. This is supply, demand, and capitalism in its pure form. I hear a lot of complaints about the seller's pricing but few can report that he has scammed, lied to, or otherwise maligned them. In either case, none of this concerns Bladeforums, a pertinent sale on Bladeforums, or a member of Bladeforums.

Jerry has no problem doing business with him and I would not either.

It looks like he's lowered the price from $7770 to $780.
Was it all just a clever ruse to get his auction mentioned on BladeForums?
And is this now an auction-spotting thread?

True he's not the only one. Saw a 1 of 27!for $3600!!!

Yep...LK at his best. I bet he looks at that pile of INFI and says " I Rish I Could Srell Awl Dis INFRI"

I asked him via eBay once if he was ever going to lower prices, he stated that he had no intention of doing so, as he could just keep them all, and didn't need to sell them.

Nah nah!

Yes, that's where it all started. :grumpy: You'll notice some other flippers here do the same thing, and will vehemently defend the practice too.

Do some research on the lowlife here. He's a sleazeball, and would likely take advantage of his own mother, and smile while doing it.

Whether he is or is not I still don't see the relevance to discussion of Busse knives on bladeforums especially given that the link is to an external sale site.
