I like leather more than kydex and was wondering what other's experiences are. Thanks.

And that's great advice. ^^^
No knife should be stored in leather... except Rostfrie. :D

Nope.

But I make sure both knife and leather are quite dry. And ... truth be told ... I do not store my INFI in leather.

Most of mine are Busse sheaths are plastic except for my Armoralleather CGFBM sheath and I do have a Boss Street IWB sheath coming from Armoralleather. :)

I have mostly kydex (easier to DIY), but my AD and S5LE both sit in leather.

I store them in their sheaths  I don't care if a user knife gets a little staining from its sheath  :p

I use a leather sheath for my SS4. It works fine.

Leather or kydex – doesn't make a lot of difference to me.

I've never had a problem with storing a knife in a vegetable-tanned leather sheath. I usually put a very very thin coat of mineral oil on the blades before they go in... and storing for me only lasts a few months at most I suppose.

I carry my EDC Busses in leather all day, every day. I find leather much more comfortable than Kydex for EDC and have never had any problems with my set ups.

Kydex works but for guns and knives leather just appeals more to me comfort and looks wise

Heavy Duty in leather since I got it, carried most every day in a "b.a.d.a.s.s." X loop sheath.

Nekkid Assault Shaker in leather as well, carried when I am not with my HD, stored in the sheath when its not in use.

Everything that I have leather for, I store it in, even high carbon. Its the quality of the leather and how you keep it that counts. An ounce of prevention and all....

Each works well for me .... kydex more for sheaths where the knife is exposed to the elements and not worn under waterproofs .... but if storing knives in leather and they are tool steel .... I usually rub Vaseline or I think you guys call it Petroleum Jelly over the blade to protect it from a damp air pocket .... 01 tool steel on my Bushcrafter knives has had a few marks otherwise .... Infi is pretty much like stainless steel when it comes to not being marked .... unless you have a de-carb competition finish .... in which case I use the Vaseline ... handy stuff as it is none toxic and can be rubbed off on "tinder" for a fire as it burns well ....

I end up using both, I carry my warden around town in leather, a fitted minimalist drop sheath I made, the end of the grip is about 3/4" above the top of my belt. "Store bought" leather is usually bulky from being overbuilt to last longer, I make mine lite, and just make a new one when it starts to wear out.

In the field my rain pants creep up over the top of the knife handle and I have to fight to get to it. So I run with kydex because it sits much higher with the teklok. Teklok's are the worst part of kydex for knife sheaths IMO, I've made a few of my own "loops" out of kydex to use instead, reducing bulk.

I only finish my leather sheaths and holsters with neet's foot oil, and re-oil them occasionally and have never had a problem with rust on knives or my 1911 I carried IWB in Boston, and it gets MUGGY there!

I use leather because I find it rides better on the belt. I find kydex just doesnt ride well.

This has been my experience with several blades but since I am new to INFI just wanted to check with the group. Though I use silicone.

I agree. I do have a Safariland paddle the is leather lined that I like very much. For the most part leather is just "warmer" like a nice piece of wood.
