Just wondering if you'd rather use it or carry something that's either current stock or still easily available?

One of the knives in my edc rotation was made by Electric Knife Company around 100 years ago.

They're not worth alot, but I rotate a CRKT D.O.G. folder & SOG Night Vision into my EDCs, & sometimes carry a Spyderco SPOT when I want a neck knife to carry.

I occasionally carry my old Gerber FS II. Great knife from when all Gerber products were still made in America.

The micarta classic has been discontinued for the 21 classic ;). I did carry a 705, lightweight Spyderco Jess Horn, Wegner Jr Spyderco, 690, 732S, 710 154CM. Many others that I've forgotten about. Was going to trade for a discontinued AFCK this weekend, but they had already sold it.

I carry a prototype Mick Strider/Front Site double-edged Hideaway necker. I doubt if that partnership will ever get back together.

I also carry a Spydie blue Yojimbo.

Do these count?

I don't own a knife I won't EDC, most of my traditional folders aren't made and haven't been made in 50 -75 years and even my Spydies, BMs, SOGs, up to and includin' my one of a kind customs all see some EDC what's the point of havin' a knife ya won't carry.

Besides I tried it, it can't be done, ya can't put a knife away and not wanna carry it.:)

All of my EDC knives are discontinued models, an old AG Russell Hunters Scalpel, a carbon steel USA Old Timer, and an Opinel sold before the redesign.

No worries though, I have NIB duplicates of each in my collection.

Alot of people still carry the original leathermans, but I don't have any discontinued knives.

Benchmade round hole AFCK, Blackjack Woodsman... not discontinued all THAT long ago, but I use 'em. That's what they were made for!

Stay sharp,
desmobob

I carry Spyderco C83 Persian every day for last two years.
Of cause I have few spares
