Anyone EDC a CRK Sebcenza?

The cool thing about my CRKs are that they ARE plain-jane. For some people, they are boring; and for others, there is beauty in their simplicity. I own 5 CRK knives, and my two favorites of them are my large 21 Insingo and my small Inkosi. I'm also considering a large plain Inkosi somewhere down the line.

I have a large plain Sebenza, a small Sebenza with micarta scales, and a Lisa's Pick of the month unique design large Sebenza. The first two I had in EDC rotation for years. The large pj Sebenza I used one time to pound in a split pin on a chair I was repairing. That one is my work horse. Whenever I carry I use a belt sheath. As for the unique design Sebenza, it is NIB and I plan to pass it on to my daughter.

I edc my Large 21 Sebenza all the way!
I was kinda worry about the scratches, however, after I got my Rockstead HIGO X IW DLC the feeling just disappeared.
As of now, HIGO X is still a safe queen for me, not sure if I will break the rule. The mirror finish is just too gorgeous to be used.
Now I've heard that KOENIG and SHARKNIVCO made good knives, just placed an order for their newest model - Mini Goblin, which will be my compact companion with Large 21 in the future.

I don't anymore because I sold mine but I have EDC'd several CRK's. Great fit and finish and I believe every knife nut needs to experience a CRK and especially a Sebenza at some point in their life. I've just moved on to different things.

I may buy one in the future just to have though.

I held off as long as I could before trying a CRK. I couldn’t believe a knife of that price could be justified, I was wrong! Upon receiving my first I was pleasantly surprised by the precision fit and finish of every part. I now own three CRK’s and have sold off some of my other knives because they just didn't see any use. My most recent purchase was a small PJ 21, I didn’t think I’d like it because of the size but man it’s it handy! I added a deep carry clip to let it ride a little lower in my pocket since it’s a smaller knife. All mine were purchased used so someone else could put the first marks on. Congrats on your purchase and don’t be afraid to use it! You should be more concerned about who to pass it down to than ruining it, they’re tough!

Fabulous knife. Like carrying a Ferrari in your pocket.
I'm not sure that would be a great comparison, the sebenza is not fast or flashy. I would say its more like a minivan, smooth, comfortable and get the job done.
I will agree it a great knife though.

I carry my small Starbenza nearly every day. In my pocket right now (paired with a traditional, of course)

Use that thing like you stole it. Then take it apart, clean it up, feel the love as it goes back together, and use it like you stole it again. They’re good knives. Meant to be used extensively.

I really, really want to carry it but...
Too pretty for me and as usual I get these thing perfect with custom sharpening and all the accessories and someone gets a great deal on the exchange when I chicken out on stuffing it in my pocket. :(

The strengths of CRK’s are their exceptional quality, operation and simplicity. I’d compare them to a Mazda Miata not a minivan. Great fun but under the radar.

To the OP, I own a PJ 21, Small Sebenza Micarta Tanto and a Small Inkosi. All are worthy EDC’s. My favorite of the 3 is the PJ 21. Open the blade and look at the profile. The design and proportions are perfect.

Here’s my 2 cents. When you get it, don’t carry, sharpen or cut. Just spend some time seeing if you even like it. If you don’t, sell it before you say the often repeated exchange mantra: “I cut some envelopes, and carried it, and maybe there’s a few swirls or scratches.”

If you like it, do everything your heart desires, because it’s a great knife that will serve you faithfully for many years. When the beautiful carry marks get to be too much, send it in for Spa Tx. Once you own and use your Sebenza, there’s likely to be more than one in your collection.

I carry one everyday, along with another folder in my other pocket. I use a slip sheath. It develops a worn look and keeps most normal dings and snail trails at bay. I guess I’m afraid of losing one with clip carry. I get a warm fuzzy with it deep in my pocket.
Don’t be too concerned about getting it dinged up, if you’re going to use it, it’s going to have personality marks.
Use it like you stole it.

^ Damn that's an Awesome picture! Beautiful Sebbie too!:thumbsup:

My goal objective here in the GKDF has been to just read & look...but dang Barman- you triggered me here & I just can't help myself! Thanks for sharing this, Brother! :)

I'm going to even leave your picture in with your quote, so people can this this twice. And as you well know- I've been the lucky recipient of a couple of your very generous sales here. :)

And I'm a big fan of CRK's Large Sebbie's & Zann'z! Amazing quality knives! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I’ve got several CRKs and carry these pretty much everyday.

This one is probably my most-used EDC knife: Small 21 Micarta Insingo
