Anyone else a fixed daily carry fan over folders?

I wear a 3 inch or 4 inch blade as a neck knife in plain view...People have gotten used to the idea that I'm a knifemaker, so wearing it into the bank or store is not a problem...

I live in a small farming community...everyone carries a knife of one kind or another...

If CA law didn't prohibit concealed carry of a fixed blade, I would carry fixed only.

I find that I'm carrying fixed blades more and my folders less. It started with the Sniper that I bought from Lynn Griffith. It's small enough that when I wear it on my belt, it doesn't attract attention. Now I switch between the Sniper, several of my own creations and one of two small Randalls.
Chiro, I made a Kydex sheath for my SIFU!! I think it draws more attention than any other knife I own..... Once people see that it's a folder and how big it is, they want look at it!!

For defense: absolutely, favorites include CRK Shadow IV, R.J. Martin Quickening, and lately the new Spydie Moran with excellent concealex sheath!

Back up defense: folders, like my MT Socoms.

For utility: folders only, easier to use in public and fun to play with

, favorite knife here is my Sebenza.

Unless I expect to be passing through a security checkpoint w/metal detectors, I always wear a REKAT Fang around my neck. Beyond that, it depends largely on where I'm going & what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing a jacket/sweater/sweatshirt & won't need to take it off, I'll have either an AG Russell Sting or Bauchop Utility Cat in a Mike Sastre Concealex IWB rig. Otherwise, it's folders.

I may be goin' to hell in a bucket, Babe, but at least I'm enjoyin' the ride.

I always carry my TOP'S Interceptor. Especially now that it is getting cold out!

Dr. Lathe,
I have the same experience wearing my "Sniper". It just seems to blend in with what I am wearing. I just came up with a new attachment that makes it even more convenient. I call it the "Crossdraw2" (pics. on my website)becuase it is for cross draw, it uses two loops, and can be converted by the user for IWB carry as well as outside belt carry. I think this will be my favorite way to carry the "Sniper" now.

Dr. Lathe, will please send me a close up scan or photo, of your smaller tanto, with prices and options? I find myself thinking about that knife more that I should.
